Dr. Andrew Nalin grew up in Bothell, Washington and graduated from Bothell High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology (1990) and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (1998) from the University of Washington. After dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center (1999) and served in the United States Air Force for nine years. In 2005, he completed an Orthodontics residency in the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Nalin is a published author and is currently involved with research at the University of Washington where he is a member of the Affiliate Faculty in the School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the Mount Baker District Dental Society. Dr. Nalin has also been named as one of America’s Top Dentists for 2011 in the Consumers’ Research Council of America "Guide to America's Top Dentists", an award he also received in 2009 and 2010. This prestigious recognition is highly sought after by dentists and orthodontists nationwide.
He is an active member of the community, supporting local schools and sports, including coaching baseball and basketball at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club. He and his wife, Sheri, have one son, Michael. A well-known gadget freak and computer and electronics expert, Dr. Nalin loves to read, play Wii with his son, and spend time with his family.
